AI Christmas Photo Generators Compared: 6 Tools and What They Say They Do
Eidora, Fotor, CapCut, Bing Image Creator, Canva and ChatGPT compared from their own public pages: inputs, Christmas features and cost, with a source for each.

An AI Christmas photo generator turns a photo or a text description into a holiday picture. The tools differ in three ways: whether they start from your photo or from a prompt, whether they have Christmas scenes ready to pick, and how they charge.
This comparison covers six tools from what their own public pages said on November 1, 2026. Eidora is our product, so read this with that in mind. We did not run a head-to-head test, so there are no scores and no winner. On Eidora, a Christmas photo uses 4 credits, and a new account starts with 6. Our AI Christmas photos page lists all our Christmas tools.
The pictures in this guide are labeled SAMPLE. They are illustrations we made for this article, not results from the tool.

The short version by job
A family portrait or Santa photo from one upload, no prompt, with a 5×7 card: Eidora.
Christmas pictures from text or from a photo, with broader photo editing: Fotor.
A prompt-led edit of your photo inside a design editor: CapCut.
No cost and a Microsoft account, if you are happy to write prompts: Bing Image Creator.
An image for a design you are already making: Canva.
A scene you want to describe in conversation: ChatGPT.
Eidora
Starts from: your photo, then a preset scene. There are 14 Christmas scenes, or you can describe your own. Separate tools cover cards from your words, pets, couples, backgrounds and posters.
Faces: built to keep each person's face, skin tone, hair and glasses. In our own blind reviews on fictional test families of 2 to 7 people, 17 of 18 results kept every person. That is not an independent test.
Cost: 4 credits a photo. A new account gets 6 credits, and those results carry an eidora.io watermark. Then 40 credits for $1.99 once within 72 hours of signing up, packs from $4.99 for 100 credits, and plans from $9.9 a month.
Keep in mind: you must sign in before generating. The photo download is not guaranteed to be print quality, though the 5×7 card under the result is 300 dpi.

Fotor
Starts from: text or an uploaded picture. Its page says it can convert text to AI Christmas pictures and transform your pictures into Christmas AI art.
Christmas features: a dedicated Christmas page, six Christmas styles for photo input, and more than 30 styles for text input. It mentions family, Santa and pet pictures. For selfies it gives 3D cartoon, anime, illustration and color pencil as examples of the art it makes.
Also: editing tools and mobile apps for Android and iOS.
Cost: the page title says "Online Free", but the page does not set out prices, credits or watermark rules.

CapCut
Starts from: an uploaded image plus a prompt, or text alone. You write what you want rather than picking a Christmas scene, then refine the result with more prompts.
Faces: its page says the tool preserves your facial structure while redrawing clothing and the setting.
Family photos: it suggests blending family photos with generated winter scenes.
Cost: the page says you can access AI image tools for free and describes a free version. It gives no price details and does not mention watermarks.

Bing Image Creator
Starts from: a text description. You can also upload your own images to personalize what you make.
Christmas features: none on its product page. You describe the scene yourself.
Cost: free with a personal Microsoft account. It is not available when signed in with a work or school account. You get 15 fast creations a day, then standard speed, and you can use Microsoft Rewards points for more fast ones.
Keep in mind: a watermark appears in the bottom left corner of each image.

Canva
Starts from: a text prompt or a reference photo. You pick a style and aspect ratio, then generate on the page.
Christmas features: none on its AI image generator page.
Cost: that page does not state prices or free limits. It links to a separate pricing page.

ChatGPT
Starts from: a conversation. You describe the scene and can upload files, with limits by plan. You write your own prompt, so there is no Christmas preset or card step.
Cost: the Free plan lists limited image creation. Go lists more, Plus lists more complex and accurate image creation, and Pro lists faster image creation with no set cap, subject to abuse guardrails. Check the page for current prices.

How to choose for your family
Run the same family photo through your top two on the same day. Then check:
• Does each person still look like themselves, including children?
• Did anyone disappear or get added?
• Is there a watermark, and what removes it?
• Is the file big enough for how you will use it?
• What does the tool say about children's photos, deletion and commercial use?
Prices and limits change, so check each tool's own page before you buy anything.
What we left out and why
Remini and Midjourney: we could not confirm enough from their public pages on the day we checked, so we did not include them. We will add a tool once we can cite its own page.
Scores and rankings: we have not tested these tools side by side, so we don't rank them.
